About the Role
Join our dynamic undergraduate admissions team, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our university As the Undergraduate Admissions Manager, you'll oversee the seamless processing of international applications directly and domestic applications through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC). Your leadership will ensure the development and implementation of key policies and identification of new opportunities in key markets.
As a crucial member of our Admissions leadership team, you'll collaborate closely with the Future Students hub and divisional groups to convert quality applicants into enrolled students, achieving our student load targets.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the team to manage international undergraduate applications, deferrals, and the University of Melbourne Extension Program, ensuring timely processing and meeting VTAC deadlines. Motivating and coaching staff to achieve goals, provide clear feedback, document performance, address issues, and reward excellence. Cultivating a positive, innovative team culture focused on continuous improvement and collaboration with stakeholders. Enhancing the student experience by identifying improvements, recommending them to committees, and actively implementing new processes, systems, and admissions policies. Who we are looking for
Our ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills to build productive relationships and drive positive outcomes for the University and its students. You will excel in problem-solving, flexible thinking, and continuous process improvement. Leveraging your strong communication abilities, adaptability, and high initiative, you will meet service expectations and manage multiple tasks under competing deadlines.
You will also have:
Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience and education/training. Minimum two years' leadership experience in operational planning, strategic alignment, and people management. Proven experience in processing admissions, preferably via VTAC.For further information regarding responsibilities and requirements please refer to the attached PD.
