**In line with work done to determine the most effective operating model to meet CommSec's strategic goals, the Digital & Customer Experience team has been created to form a more integrated and aligned team to better deliver customer solutions and sustained business performance.

The Insights & Data Crew within Digital & Customer Experience is responsible for driving capabilities that enable:
  • Data stewardship quality and governance
  • Customer analytics and insights
  • Personalisation and engagement on digital platforms
  • Digital growth and innovation Leverage of group data and analytics capability

You will be a strategic thinker to help CommSec manage its data better and help identify ways to improve the Data Management Implementation Methodology (DMIM) and Data Quality processes, as well as, Data Risk Management controls that we are building.

You will report to the Senior Manager in Data Management.

We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half your time each month connecting in office.

We also have many other flexible working options available including changing start and finish times, part-time arrangements and job share to name a few.

We are seeking people who are:
  • Passionate about analysing data quality while effectively engaging, educating and influencing diverse group of stakeholders and cross-functional teams inclusive of Product Owners, Crews and Squads in the Technical and Risk management areas.
  • Adept with analysing data quality and integrity issues that are impacting the business, including risk, compliance and regulatory issues.
  • Naturally talented with being tactical in providing strategic solutions to remediate data issues.
  • Experts in designing and building Data Quality and Data reconciliation reporting solutions to support ongoing monitoring.
  • Curious attitude and risk minded to identify critical points in the business for data errors and, to identify effective checkpoints for Data Controls and high data quality.
Tech skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks.

We don't expect you to know them all but having significant experience and exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team.

  • Data analysis using SQL.
  • Experience in developing and configuring Data Dictionary, Data Catalogue, Data Lineage and other types of metadata.
  • Exposure to data quality tools
  • Collibra, Alation, Abinitio or others
  • Degree or educational background in Information Technology, Management or Business Process.
  • Proactive attitude and risk mindset.
