The Insights & Data Crew within Digital & Customer Experience is responsible for driving capabilities that enable:
Data stewardship, quality and governance

You will support the implementation of the Group's Data Management framework and their implementation on major projects.
You will report to the Senior Manager Data Management.

Responsibilities include
  • Act as a Product owner for Data and engage with various Business, Technical and Risk stakeholders to analyse data quality and integrity issues impacting business including risk, compliance and regulatory issues
  • Conduct workshops to support issue impact assessment and root cause analysis to identify true source of the issue
  • Design tactical and strategic solution to remediate data issues and work with IT delivery team for implementation of the plan
  • Design Data Quality and Data reconciliation reporting solution to support ongoing monitoring
  • Link CDEs to business processes to identify critical points in the business where data errors could occur
  • Identify checkpoints for build of Data Controls to ensure data passing through the checkpoint is assessed for quality
  • Independently manage the work stream and the relationship with stakeholders including Line 1 and Line 2 risk teams with escalation to Line Manager as necessary
  • Analyse and document data element using Data Management Implementation methodology.
  • Assess the effectiveness of data controls & recommend action plans to resolve identified data quality issues.

  • Extensive experience in data governance and data quality management, monitoring and resolution preferably for a large financial institution is a MUST
  • Experience in facilitating and conducting workshops with various business, technical and risk stakeholders to drive outcomes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Excellent Data analysis skills using SQL
  • Experience in developing and configuring Data Dictionary, Data Catalogue, Data Lineage and other types of metadata
  • Experience with Abinitio or other data quality tools is highly desirable
  • Degree/diploma in Information Technology/Management or Business Process
