This is a hybrid role that encompasses category management, supplier management and trade marketing.
You will report to the Head of Category.

What you'll be doing Knowledge:

Through your deep level of understanding in how to analyse data to extract meaningful insights, you will be Botany Group's expert in your categories.

Nobody in our business should know more about the categories, our brands and competitors than you.
From macro perspective, you will always be up to date with local and global market trends.

Relationships:
Build and maintain high quality relationships with key stakeholders internally, with retailers and the supplier.

Specifically, you will have a hands-on relationship with your supplier's marketing team members as it will be your responsibility to extract all the necessary inputs required to build retailer reviews, brand plans, JBP's, workshop presentations etc.

This includes but is not limited to; obtaining samples, imagery, marketing plans, overseas data/insights, NPD information.

Brand Planning:

Work with our sales team to develop data led strategies to grow our brands in the Australian market (retail sales, purchases, ex-factory sales).

These will be linked to both Botany Group's budget and our JBP targets with the supplier.
You will be responsible for formalizing these objectives, strategies and key results into Brand Plans.
You will co-ordinate these plans and keep them updated throughout the year.

You will track/report on progress and work with the sales team to modify strategies when needed to ensure targets are achieved.


Project Management:

You are responsible for project managing the necessary inputs required to deliver retailer reviews, JBP's, workshops, business updates, facilitating best in class execution across retailer online consumer platforms etc.

This will involve working with multiple departments and stakeholders.

Reporting:
Manage all stakeholder reporting (internal and external) in relation to your portfolio.
These reports will be accompanied by insights on the drivers of performance.
You will be working with Excel and Power BI reports that integrate Scantrack, Secondary Sales and Primary Sales.

Presentations:

You will be responsible for co-ordinating and building best in class presentations such as JBP's, Retailer Reviews and Supplier Updates (MBRs).

Where required, you will assist in delivering them to members at Botany, your supplier and retailers.

Analysis:

Analyse the performance of our brands and their competitor set to identify new opportunities and develop strategies to achieve targets.

You will perform deep dive analysis using the data sets available.

These analyses may come from briefs given by the suppliers, our sales team or yourself in your quest to understand performance.


TTS and BMI spend management:
Trade Marketing; tracking and analysing TTS and BMI spend.

You will work with the sales team to develop optimal promotional programs and utilization of BMI spend within our given spend parameters.

You will also be involved in the claims process, making sure our Co-Op, TTS and BMI spend is claimed back from your supplier.


Forecasting:

Together with the sales team, it will be a joint responsibility to maintain and update accurate forecasts on a weekly basis.

KPI's:1.

Achieve budget sales targets for your portfolio (both JBP targets and Botany Budget).2.
Keep trade spend in line with agreed allocation.3.
Ensure all reporting is delivered accurately and on time.4.
Forecast Accuracy of +/-5% maintained for YTD.5.
Build best in class range reviews that are well received internally and externally.
To be successful you will have:1.
Advanced Excel, IRI, Nielsen IQ, Quantium Data Analysis and Powerpoint Skills.2.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting.3.
Proven experience analysing and leveraging data for powerful insights.4.
Track record of delivery and ability to work autonomously, always taking initiative.5.
More than 2 years of experience in Category/Marketing/Shopper Marketing manager.6.
Have a bachelor degree or higher qualification.
