The University of Adelaide is seeking a Research Officer to join the School of Agriculture, Food and Wine on a full-time, fixed term contract for 24 months.

The School of Agriculture, Food and Wine provides a world-class concentration of scientific research, education and infrastructure at the University of Adelaide's Waite campus.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced researcher who will be responsible for independently organising and implementing laboratory
- and field-based research, as well as independently organising, monitoring and analysing lab and field-based results.

To be successful you will need:

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Demonstrated success in design and management of laboratory experiments.
  • Demonstrated interpretation and analysis of data for report and publication writing.
  • Excellent communication skills, as evidenced through report writing and delivery of presentations.
  • Effective time management in working with complex projects with multiple outcomes.
  • Demonstrated highlevel interpersonal skills in working with individuals from a diversity of cultures.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
- (Desirable) An understanding of Australian low to medium rainfall crop and pasture systems.

Qualification/s:

  • Bachelor degree in Sciences or Agricultural Sciences (or related discipline) with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education/training/experience
  • A current drivers' licence.
