The Role:


Reporting to the Team Leader, Waterways & Land Delivery this role will provide on-site, frontline leadership to direct and support work crews and contractors involved in Water Supply Operations, First Attack Fire Response and Catchment Maintenance activities.


Your Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Operating and Maintaining Large Dams
  • Strong knowledge of Water Supply Catchment Management.
  • Proven risk identification and analysis and problem solving
  • Sound knowledge of Natural Resource Management Practices
  • Strong Maintenance Delivery ground
  • Ability to make timely decisions based on information at hand during emergency response activities.
  • Must have flexibility to manage a variety of situations, work activities and projects simultaneously with competing priorities.
  • Perform complex work that may impact the business under very limited supervision. Review and establish procedures to maximise operability, task efficiency and safety.
  • Must reside permanently within 45 minutes of Thomson
  • Be available for out of hours availability (24 hour a day recall to work) and out of hours emergency response (when rostered)
  • Be available to go on an out of hours water supply roster throughout the year as a fire response roster from November to April.
