Position

This high-profile role will drive positive cultural change and behaviour for health & safety across the Hospitals, and actively pursue continuous improvement opportunities.


  • Develop, integrate, and sustain a work health and safety strategy and framework that promotes an organisational culture which empowers all employees.
  • Provide highlevel strategic advice and support to the hospital and Executive to embed safety leadership, initiatives, culture and improve safety standards.
  • Manage and modernise the provision of reports, risk management processes and information to meet the hospitals compliance and reporting obligations (including external reporting).
  • Lead, guide, and mentor a highperforming and hardworking team, enhancing capabilities and driving best in class business partnering, engagement and reporting.

Key requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated success leading Safety teams and functions in complex environments.
  • Outstanding relationship and partnering capability, with the ability to advise and influence at all organisational levels.
  • High level strategic and analytical skills, with excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Extensive knowledge of WHS legislation and the regulatory landscape.
  • Contemporary leadership skills with a humancentric approach to building capability.
