Research Governance Officer

  • Full time, fixed term position until December 202
  • Based in Hobart
  • Undertake compliance and risk assessment due diligence of proposed research activities

The Opportunity


The Research Governance team plays a key role in ensuring and monitoring compliance across the research lifecycle within the University.

In this role, you will work across multiple teams, collaborating with stakeholders across the Divisions and Colleges to provide expert advice and support for the continuous improvement and implementation of the Research Governance Framework, improving existing governance processes and practices.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement systems and supporting materials including guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Deliver information sessions and training to educate and promote the Research Governance Framework.
  • Conduct continuous improvement internal monitoring for compliance and clinical trials, contributing to the preparation of reports to regulatory bodies.
  • Provide expert operational advice and support to enhance and improve existing governance processes and practices.

Your Application

  • Experience in clinical trials; compliance, governance, and auditing, and/or biosafety and biosecurity.
  • Experience in managing complex projects and working as part of a team.
  • A strong record of creating effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop policies and procedures and deliver training and information sessions.

Remuneration


Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $119,949 comprising base salary within the range of $93,273 to $102,521 plus 17% superannuation.
