About Us:

  • We are the St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria or, more fondly, Vinnies Victoria. For more than 165 years we have been providing practical and compassionate support to people across Victoria whose daily struggles can include putting food on the table, paying essential utilities and ensuring their children remain at school to obtain an education.
  • Under our Good Works umbrella we have many services and programs, including soup vans, education programs, home visitation programs and VincentCare Victoria (VCV), which assists some of Victoria's most vulnerable communities, such as people experiencing homelessness, the housing crisis and family violence, and the elderly.

About the Role:

  • As a part of the Property & Procurement team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our vast portfolio of properties.
  • Collaborating with the team, together with internal and external stakeholders, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional environments for our stakeholders. As part of our commitment to providing outstanding property management and maintenance services, you will be responsible for a range of key responsibilities that ensure the smooth operation and compliance of our properties.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the preventative and reactive maintenance schedules via the Property Maintenance system;
  • Ensure the environmental management system(s) are up to date and current status of activities as reflected;
  • Assisting in the coordination of our Compliance Management System;
  • Administer expenses associated with property maintenance activities;
  • Assisting the Property & Procurement Team in managing contracts;
  • Aiding in propertyrelated capital works program for the Society and VincentCare;
  • Assisting in the development and coordination of project works by creating work orders with internal & external stakeholders.

More specifically you will have:

  • Strong administration skills, with an understanding of property management systems;
  • Strong computer, Microsoft Office and Excel knowledge;
  • Demonstrated previous experience in working within a large and diverse building portfolio;
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyse problems and find solutions;
  • The ability to prioritise work commitments and manage competing deadlines.
