As a Program Manager, you will supervise the daily operations of one of the largest immediate supported accommodation centers in Queensland. The program offers assistance to homeless individuals through both on-site and mobile outreach, with a primary focus on long-term sustainable housing solutions. The Hostel operates 24/7 and consists of 84 rooms. The clientele mostly comprises single individuals, and occasionally can include couples. Your team will include two (2) Team Leaders and fourteen (14) Client Outcome Facilitators. The Team Leaders will provide hands-on support to the Client Outcome Facilitators.
Main DutiesOrganize service delivery to meet our stringent standards and attain program goals.
Take responsibility for program achievements, ensuring effective assistance to our clients.
Supervise and guide staff members within your line of management, promoting a cooperative and top-performing team dynamic.
Collaborate with the Dept of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy, NGOs, and other service entities to ensure comprehensive support.
Manage the program budget and meet reporting obligations.
Navigate and adhere to relevant funding guidelines, contracts, legal stipulations, and organizational protocols.
Strong leadership qualities, with the capacity to motivate and oversee a committed team.
Proficiency in organizing homelessness services with a solid understanding of trauma-informed frameworks.
Thorough knowledge of funding rules, legal requirements, and policy compliance.
A profound dedication to our mission and the ability to drive meaningful outcomes.
This position is a fixed-term (until 30/06/2026) full-time (38 hours per week) position located in Spring Hill. To succeed in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in Community Services or relevant fields
- Demonstrated experience in program coordination and leadership
- Solid understanding of industry benchmarks and best practices
- Prior managerial experience in the Social Services sector
- Ability to lead and supervise others, including strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
The chosen candidate will need to provide a COVID-19 vaccination certificate before commencement. Familiarity with and dedication to the principles of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland is crucial.
