Description:

Purpose


The Program Manager will coach and mentor the staff of Stones Corner Direct Delivery site to achieve required program targets each month.

Responsible for overseeing the program/s and team, building a strong performance profile for the business and fostering strong relationships within the business.


Working with a cohort of disadvantaged jobseekers, the Program Manager will require innovative program interventions and this role is expected to create relationships with community stakeholders that support the needs of the program, manage the governance associated with expenditure through the employment fund, appropriate use of wage subsidies and their acquittal and program compliance with any funding guidelines.


Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Facilitate and lead a well-organised approach to providing employment services to job seekers
Develop and implement procedures to ensure contractual compliance with program funding bodies
Uphold the reputation of the program, promoting the service and good news stories within the community and the Department
Actively engage with employers aligned to the skills and experience of the caseload
Establish effective relationships with employer and community stakeholders, which lead to Participants finding sustainable employment
Ensure the financial sustainability of the program by minimising any recoverable claims through failure to achieve placement and outcome targets each milestone
Provide supervision, direction and support to site team on an ongoing basis, being accountable for staff performance and management
Motivate and engage your team through various stages of employment action plan and placements, ensuring they achieve program targets
Provide leadership in fostering a positive team environment and culture that engenders full contribution and collaboration by the team

Required Experience

Demonstrated experience leading and managing high-performing teams in sales/business development environments
The ability to identify intervention solutions, mentor and coach alongside the Participant's dedicated Mentor to ensure
Participants achieve sustainable employment (Experience in employment or target focussed case management is necessary)
Demonstrated experience managing program requirements, working in complex compliant environments, and managing program, budgets and expenditure
Knowledge of local labour marketing conditions and opportunities

Desirable Experience and Qualifications

Previous experience in delivering Government Employment Programs (Disability Employment and Generalist Services)
Experience leading and developing a high performing multi-contract team
