Role Summary:

The role of our Support Workers is to provide support to the residents in our aged care facility.

Support workers are tasked with creating a home-like environment for everyone at the facility, whilst undertaking duties such as assistance with daily living tasks or personal care needs, medication administration or the preparation and serving of meals.

Our Support Workers work closely with our Registered Nurse, who will provide guidance and supervision to you throughout your day.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide everyday living assistance to the residents
  • Carry out assisting with general motor functions, personal hygiene and care as well as providing emotional support to the residents
  • Assist with development and review of resident care plans to ensure relevance and effectiveness at all times
  • Ensure that care service delivery is based on the goals, needs and preferences of the residents.
  • Contribute to the creation of a homelike environment for the residents
  • Adhere to the risk management strategies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and accrediation standards

Skills, Attributes and Experience:

**A Cert III in Aged Care or Individual Support is desirable, but not essential.
