The goal of the Tennis Women and Girls Strategy is to improve access and opportunities for women and girls in tennis to achieve gender equality in the sport.

With the assistance of federal government funding, we have the opportunity for a Women and Girls Coordinator to join our team and help implement the national strategy at a local level in Western Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire women and girls to lead and play tennis.


As the Women and Girls Coordinator, you will work with Tennis West to identify specific Women and Girls programs and initiatives to meet their aim to achieve gender equality.

Naturally highly organised you will coordinate education facilitators and participants, as well as liaise with key Tennis West stakeholders.

Additionally, you will be responsible for the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of Women and Girls programs and initiatives in Western Australia back to the national team.

This is a part time (22.8 hours per week) contract until the end of June 2024.

- in this role you will:_

  • Collaborate with Tennis West to identify key metrics and needs of women and girls in the state and identify priority focus areas to increase opportunities for women and girls to lead and play tennis
  • Deliver Community Leadership programs for Women and Girls to increase the number of women and girls leading tennis within local tennis communities
  • Provide training for Tennis West staff to build awareness and knowledge to ensure gender equality is everyone's responsibility
  • Undertake monitoring and evaluation (M&E) process for Women and Girls programs and initiatives as directed by the national M& E plan
  • Increase accessibility to Tennis through Diversity & Inclusion initiatives aligned to state strategy
About you

  • What you will bring to the role:_
  • High level of organisation and personal initiative
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Experience in project management and delivering programs
  • Ability monitoring and evaluation of programs
  • Confidence in delivering information in a group setting
  • Tertiary qualification in business management, education, physical education, sport science, or, human movement (desirable).
  • National Working with Children Check and Police Certificate (essential)
