This is an exciting opportunity to start your accounting journey by joining our finance function in a core position as our Junior Finance Officer.

This role will be split across two integral functions:
Accounts Payable & Project Accounting.
This role will initially be a 6-month fixed-term contract, suitable to someone at the start of their career or on their way to completing tertiary qualifications in accounting/finance

The key responsibilities will be:

  • Updating actual costs to date for Brownfield and Greenfield projects into Procore (projects/construction software) daily
  • Preparing draft Project Financials reporting of actual and forecast/committed costs monthly for Project Managers' review.
  • Regularly review the Converga (AP system) invoice queues for Brownfield and Greenfield projects and reroute them to the relevant Project Managers for review and approval.
  • Processing invoices from suppliers through the AP invoicing system into an ERP
  • Resolving issues that may arise with invoices within the Scan and Capture system.
  • Resolving queries and requests within the AP invoicing system

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Solid understanding of the accounting principles
  • Ownership of your own learning and development
  • Experience with Microsoft suite and particularly MS Excel
  • Experience communicating and collaborating at all levels within a business.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (or studying towards)
