The Opportunity
The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the family office function, responsible for commercial analysis and compliance for various investments within the property group. You will be one of the key finance leaders of a highly successful and prominent player in the property development and investment industry. This role offers the successful candidate a broad and dynamic scope, featuring close interaction with entrepreneurial and highly respected stakeholders, and providing opportunities for professional growth and innovation.

The Challenge
Reporting to the Group CFO you will have responsibility over a junior finance team member.

Specifically your responsibilities will include:
  • Implement and drive company strategy, including monitoring and reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring adherence to Australian accounting standards.
  • Manage corporate secretarial duties and titles register for the wider group.
  • Lead annual tax planning and tax forecasting, ensuring strategic tax compliance and governance.
  • Manage and mentor a junior team member.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Handle insurance processes, bank compliance, and estate planning matters.
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
  • 4+ years of relevant senior experience, ideally within a highly regarded professional services firm. It's preferable that you will have gained significant experience working within a first or second tier accounting firm where you have worked predominantly within the business services or private clients function.
  • CA qualification.
  • Enjoy working as part of a growing team and be willing to get your hands dirty when required.
  • High attention to detail and ability to adapt to a face paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
