About the role:

You will be required to work closely with the occupational therapy staff to meet each client's identified therapeutic goals.

The position is responsible for the implementation of individual therapy within the clients home environment. Availability during the week between 3pm - 6pm is essential to the role.

What do you need for the role?

  • Be a registered occupational therapy university student or have a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance.
  • Ability to work under the direction of an Occupational therapist.
  • Experience in working unsupervised as an allied health assistant in a client's home.
  • Experience in working in Disability or a related field.
  • Skills or experience in working with Allied Health Professionals.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills and interpersonal skills is essential.
  • The ability to document all service provisions.
  • Administrative skills, including computer skills.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Drivers license and access to a reliable motor vehicle.
  • Horizon Allied Health requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID19, unless an exemption applies.
  • Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
  • NDIS Worker Check.
