This is a stand-alone role that is required to assist with the company's annual insurance renewal, insurance claims process and on finance related projects.

The incumbent will work closely with the external broker and teams across the business to ensure successful global insurance coverage for Accolade Wines.

With excellent planning and project management skills, your strengths will be utilised in this role. You will contribute to the broader Global Finance team, in driving Corporate Finance and risk-related projects, upon consultation and request by the General Manager - Corporate Finance.

Your Key Accountabilities
  • Assist with the preparation of annual accounts.
  • Support with the finance related projects on an ad-hoc basis including the collation of information and managing RFI's
  • Preparation of account reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Preparation of process and procedure documents within the finance department
  • Completion of policy and procedure documents for the Corporate Accounting Function
  • Manage the insurance inbox and escalate details of any potential claims communicate with the broker where appropriate
  • Other corporate finance related tasks as requested by the General Manager Corporate Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Other Accountabilities Include
  • Developing and implementing strategies to ensure operational activities meet strategic and business goals
  • Coaching and developing others in the wider finance team, to support project delivery
  • Drive key project outcomes
  • Oversee delivery of insurance renewal information
  • Review and update policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with company personnel to drive a successful insurance renewal

  • Basic knowledge of insurance would be beneficial

  • Excellent planning and project management skills, including the ability to deliver multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance or related discipline
  • CA or CPA qualified

Required Experience

  • 5+years' experience in finance or financial services
  • Experience in FMCG or manufacturing strongly regarded
  • Experience in a private equity environment preferred
  • Basic knowledge of insurance management preferred, but not essential
Physical and Other Requirements
  • This role is based in our Melbourne office, with hybrid working
  • Some out of hours work including conference calls with non-Australian time zones will be required
