As a PR Account Manager, you are a crucial part of a creatively driven agency. Your role is to nurture, inspire and grow your client's businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daytoday client projects and/or events to ensure the quality of work meets clients' objectives and in a manner that provides value for money.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with the client and external publics.
  • Develop, pitch and place stories by and about the client in business, trade and other media.
  • Develop pitches and work with targeted media on story development, and handle media inquiries.
  • Organise, implement and oversee media events, press conferences/briefings, media tours and promotions for the client.
  • Develop communication and marketing plans for clients.
  • Research, write and distribute news releases, backgrounders, fact sheets, bios, newsletters, pitch letters, prepared remarks, program elements and standby statements.
  • Cultivate positive client presence in media through releases, contact and responsiveness to inquiries/requests.
  • Manage account administration duties such as billing, financial reporting and activity reports.
  • Assist with new business development including writing new business pitches and participating in pitches.

Capabilities

  • An experienced Senior Account Executive or Account Manager with experience working in an integrated, PR or media agency environment.
  • Ability to handle complex negotiations and complex client engagements,
  • Ability to manage tasks in an issues and crisis situation and manage media relations activity
  • Ability to develop communication plans, manage communication measurement and evaluation tasks
