The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with a highly dynamic, passionate and energetic team which provides support to the local business community.
You will be an integral part of the team, providing administrative support to the team along with being involved in supporting networking events for local businesses.
The successful applicant will report to the Coordinator, Economic Development. Liaise and contribute to Council's success by creating collaborative relationships with local businesses and the general public.Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the team including report preparation, electronic document management, correspondence, invoicing, and credit card reconciliation.
- Support the programming and facilitation of events across the Economic Development & Tourism team including attendance at various functions.
- Manage and provide advice to team members in the use of Council's Electronic Data Management systems, databases and Customer Relationship Management System.
- Demonstrate a customer focus to internal and external stakeholders by ensuring enquiries are responded to in a timely manner and appropriate actions are taken having regard to Council's policies and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion in the handling of a wide range of information and projects.
About you
_ To be successful in this role you will have the following:_
- Postsecondary qualification in Administration or relevant office administration experience in an office administration role, showcasing familiarity with a broad range of administrative tasks, procedures and systems.
- Ability to use initiative to solve problems and prioritise workloads to achieve work targets.
- Flexibility to work some after hours, weekends and public holidays.
- Current valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
