About us

Healthdirect Australia is a government-owned, not-for-profit organisation who works with purpose and dedication to help Australians actively manage and improve their health.

Our virtual services are easily accessible via multiple channels, including helplines, video call solutions, apps and websites and cater for Australians at all stages of life, ranging from practical and emotional support during pregnancy through to advice about aged care and helping Australians through the COVID-19 pandemic.

About the opportunity
Join the Platform Performance Division team which manages the Healthdirect platform upon which our health services are delivered.

The platform is comprised of components that include provider panels, technology, clinical operations and governance, consumer support, and quality processes.

This division leads the governance processes for the platform including prioritisation and roadmaps, is responsible for transitioning more services onto the platform, and providing service design expertise.

The Supplier Reconciliation Officer will report to the Technical Production Manager within the Platform division who leads a small team responsible for the resource planning and optimisation, process improvement and oversight of purchasing across technology projects and procurements.

This role will establish process and tools to improve and support the procurement process including raising purchase orders, invoicing reconciliation process, ensuring supplier invoices are accurate, understood and allocated correctly, and to support relevant Managers to efficiently clear and approve their major purchases.

You will be responsible for reviewing invoices from technology suppliers and 3rd party contractor vendors, ensuring that all costs are allocated accurately to the correct cost centres and project codes.

The role will work closely with cost centre managers across technology to make sure spend is understood and that the invoices being received and paid accurately reflect the services purchased and reconcile to internal operating systems.

This role will develop and embed an invoicing process with appropriate procedures to support the invoicing requirements of the division.

This will also include setting up requisitions and Purchase orders for technology spend.

The Technology function receives a high volume of invoices, and it is critical that this role will work across the technology function and liaise with internal stakeholders such as Finance, Commercial, Project Management Office, Human Resources, Analytics and Reporting and external providers to ensure the accurate allocation of costs across the business.
