Job Description

About this role:

This role requires strong technical leadership in various geotechnical project areas, such as earthworks, foundation design, settlement analysis, soft soils assessment, deep excavations, and temporary works. You will be involved in developing relationships, expanding the client base, and exploring new market opportunities. Additionally, mentoring junior staff is part of the role. This position provides a great chance to utilize and enhance your skills within a supportive team environment.

Experience and Skills

About you:

The ideal candidate is passionate about geology and geotechnical engineering, self-driven, motivated, eager to grow professionally, and dedicated to making a positive impact on the community. Strong project management, communication, and innovative thinking skills are essential.

Your professional experience should include:

  • BE (Civil), ME, or MEngSc qualification
  • Chartered member of Engineers Australia (CPEng) and current professional registration with the Board of Professional Engineers in Queensland (RPEQ)
  • Minimum 10 years of geotechnical consulting experience, preferably in Brisbane and Queensland
  • Experience in managing complex ground investigations and geotechnical design projects
  • Proficiency in data analysis and geotechnical software modelling (2D and 3D)
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant guidelines, standards, and legislation in Geotechnical Engineering
