Job Opportunity

ENGEO Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Brisbane office in Queensland. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional geotechnical services across Australia, New Zealand, and California.

We are looking for a talented individual who can provide technical leadership on a wide range of geotechnical projects, including earthworks, foundation and retaining wall design, 2D and 3D settlement analysis, assessment of soft and compressible soils, deep excavations, and temporary works.

The successful candidate will have a strong relationship development component, including fostering existing relationships, expanding our client base, and exploring new market opportunities. They will also be expected to provide support and mentoring to junior staff.

This is an exciting opportunity for a geotechnical professional to utilize and expand their skills within a supportive team and culture.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical leadership on geotechnical projects
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Supporting junior staff and providing mentoring
  • Contributing to the growth and development of the team

Requirements include:

  • BE (Civil), ME, or MEngSc
  • Chartered member of Engineers Australia (CPEng) and current professional registration with the Board of Professional Engineers in Queensland (RPEQ)
  • At least 10 years of geotechnical consulting experience
  • Experience in design and management of complex ground investigations
  • Experience in geotechnical design, including earthworks, deep foundations, basement excavations, settlement assessments, retaining systems, and temporary works
  • Experience in data analysis and computer-aided modeling (both 2D and 3D) using a range of geotechnical software
  • Excellent interpretative report writing skills
  • Extensive knowledge of current guidelines, technical standards, legislation, and codes of practice relevant to Geotechnical Engineering in Queensland and Australia
