Claims Support Officer

About the Position:
We are hiring a group of dedicated Claims Support Officers for our Brisbane CBD-based client. As a Claims Support Officer, you will deliver essential services to internal and external customers efficiently and seamlessly.

Your responsibilities include handling in and outbound customer calls, liaising with service providers, gathering information, administration, as well as finalisation or escalation of claims.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional customer service (inbound and outbound), collecting information and achieving key service levels in the Contact Centre.
  • Liaising with allied health professionals and claimants to understand requirements
  • Maintain accurate records to meet business requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with different teams to ensure seamless customer service delivery
  • Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Administration of supporting documents (collection, collation, storage)
  • Handle requests related to settled and closed claims promptly, ensuring high levels of customer service.
  • Adhere to records management policies and procedures.

About the Successful Applicant:

  • Previous call centre/administrative experience, with highvolume processing in a customerfocused environment and/or a call centre environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Ability to manage mid highvolume telephone calls professionally.
  • Reasoning skills, to assess information provided by customers and escalate where required
  • Ability to have unscripted conversations, based on information and provide outcomes (both positive and negative)
  • Highly developed customer experience skills, patience, and problemsolving.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Willingness to undergo preemployment checks (Police Check, Referencing, Interview and VEVO checks)
  • Prior experience working in the insurance industry highly regarded
