Master Builders Insurance Brokers (MBIB) is a rapidly growing national insurance brokerage, specialising in the building and construction industry. With approximately 90 staff nationally, we have a proven history of developing quality insurance professionals.

We are seeking a Team Leader to oversee our Victorian Corporate Broking operations.

Reporting to the Southern Region Manager, this hands-on leadership role will see you:

  • Provide leadership to and management of the Corporate broking team (5 direct reports), including, but not limited to:
  • Staff engagement, recruitment, performance management and retention,
  • Budget management and performance,
  • Employee development,
  • Portfolio management,
  • Compliance,
  • Process improvement, and
  • Reporting.
  • Manage a portfolio of allocated clients,
  • Provide technical expertise to clients and staff,
  • Involvement in project teams within the national business,
  • Representing the business at various industry forums as required.

You will ideally bring:

  • Genuine experience, success and passion in a people leadership role;
  • Minimum 5 years broking experience, ideally with exposure to construction insurance, but not essential;
  • Tier 1 Broking (essential);
  • Diploma in Broking (desirable);
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients, underwriters, senior management and key stakeholders;
  • A strong work ethic, with excellent organisational, communication and time management skills;
  • An innate desire to meet and exceed expectations.
