Job Title - Configuration and Data Manager

Job ID - SAS **L3Harris is seeking an experienced Configuration and Data Manager for the Airservices Australia Enterprise Network Modernization Program (ASA-ENMP). In this role the Configuration and Data Manager is responsible for generation and maintenance of all program documentation delivery schedule and processing, releasing and control of customer delivery of master program documents. You will have the opportunity to interface with multiple consortium members in the execution of the program.

Roles & Responsibilities:


The Configuration and Data Manager reports to the Operational Integrity Lead and is required to regularly interface with multiple disciplines and levels of management to ensure adequate control and traceability of all program artifacts throughout the program lifecycle.

Some roles and responsibilities include:

  • Design and establish configuration management and data management documentation.
  • Where necessary, establish, modify and implement workflows and data structures to enable fulfillment of effective Data and Configuration Management for the Project;
  • Implements the Knowledge Management System, and controls, for sharing of configuration controlled data within the consortium and with the Customers.
  • Ability to analyze proposed product design changes to determine the effect on the overall system;
  • Establish system baselines (Functional, Allocated, Product);
  • Authorize the release of software and drawings and changes specified by Program or Engineering Management;
  • Provide advice and guidance on methods, procedures and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of documentation;
  • Plan and implement methods to improve response;
  • Act as liaison between management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding configuration analysis documentation;
  • Perform audits to verify compliance with contract requirements;
  • Ability to Perform Hardware Configuration Management (HWCM) responsibilities for planning, identification, change management, status accounting, verification and audit of hardware configuration items to include the review, approval & release of COTS parts;
  • Perform Physical and Functional Configuration Audits should they be specified
  • Ability to Perform Software Configuration Management (SWCM) responsibilities for the verification of change content for release of software & software documents through SWCM;
  • Perform Data Management (DM) responsibilities for the administration and change control of program documents; forms; templates; policies; process directives, procedures, work instructions and the vaulting of master documents, white papers and patents;
  • Establish configuration management program plans in accordance with company policy and contractual requirements;
  • Establish SWCM, HWCM and DM work instructions and procedures;
  • Analyze proposed design changes to determine their effect on the overall system;
  • Perform regular configuration audits on established baselines;
  • Establish and facilitate Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and authorize the release of drawings, software, documents and changes specified by Engineering;
  • Administer existing configuration management toolsets, including records management and end user access control;
  • Participate in multidiscipline teams on various assignments; and
  • Support BOE generation by providing inputs as required.
  • Act as backup for the Quality Assurance Manager
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience or equivalent, relevant industry experience.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience working in Agile development environments;
  • 5+ years experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools;
  • 5+ years experience with Configuration and Data Management tools
  • 5+ years experience in a Configuration Management role;

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Configuration Management Certifications (CMPIC, NDIA);
  • Knowledge of EIA649B/C International Configuration Management Standard;
  • Knowledge and some experience with Software CM, Hardware CM and Data Management Procedures and Toolsets, specifically Confluence, Jira and SharePoint;
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience producing Integrated Logistics Support Documentation on large Defence Systems Integration Project;
