About the Opportunity

Under the guidance of the Life of Type Extension Engineering Manager, the Principal Configuration Officer will oversee configuration management and provide technical leadership within the organization.

With a solid understanding of the In Service Support Contract (ISSC) Configuration Management function, this role involves independently managing Life of Type Extension (LOTE) configuration activities, including planning, item management, and change processes.

This full-time permanent position is based in Osborne SA.

Responsibilities

  • Implement LOTE project configuration management activities and related outputs
  • Support the development and maintenance of configuration management tools for LOTE and ISSC
  • Ensure LOTE subcontractors adhere to their configuration management plans
  • Assist in estimating planning for LOTE configuration management activities and providing training
  • Oversee a team of configuration management personnel

About You

  • Certified International Configuration Manager or CMII training in configuration management
  • Minimum seven years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in management techniques such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, and process execution
  • Advanced knowledge of configuration management methods, particularly in a defense environment
  • Familiarity with configuration management standards like EIA-649
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general technology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with internal and external stakeholders

This role mandates a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility is subject to obtaining and maintaining these clearances.
