This fulfilling role involves supporting the Senior Manager Compliance and the wider Governance & Risk function in developing and implementing RAA Group's Compliance Management Framework, Policies, and related initiatives essential for fostering a culture of compliance by design.

The Compliance Manager will serve as a consultant, collaborating with various stakeholders to offer compliance expertise, guidance, and if necessary, constructive feedback or input.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of compliance maturity by integrating compliance considerations with business objectives and decision-making, facilitating a compliance by design approach.
  • Initiate and implement programs to embed the Compliance Management Framework throughout RAA.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes to ensure their effective implementation across the RAA Group.
  • Oversee compliance incidents and reporting, assisting the Senior Manager Compliance as the RAA Privacy Officer and Whistleblowing Investigation Officer.
  • Develop and conduct compliance training and communication initiatives to enhance compliance awareness across the organization.
  • Collaborate across departments to offer compliance support and expertise on projects, policy enhancements, and continuous improvement efforts.

About You:

You are a motivated, self-driven individual with a dedication to excellence and a strong desire to create a positive influence. Your background in compliance, particularly in General Insurance or Financial Services, equips you with the essential skills to navigate and influence intricate regulatory environments.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in legal, compliance, and/or risk within the financial services sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance management and/or risk management.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, including General Insurance Code of Practice, Insurance Contracts Act, APRA Prudential Standards, ASIC Regulatory Guides, and broader regulatory obligations affecting the financial services industry.
  • Excellent stakeholder management capabilities and proficiency in delivering training sessions and workshops across all organizational levels.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and communication aptitude.
  • Innovative thinking with the ability to efficiently balance competing priorities.
