National Operations and Supply Chain team in our BlueScope Building Components business as a
Engineering and Mobile Mill Technical Officer.

BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands:
Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys.

We're proud we can provide innovative building solutions like our mobile mill.

Transported across the country, it provides onsite production capability so we can rollout our steel roofing solutions to extremely long lengths for large scale industrial, commercial and infrastructure projects.


Our mobile mill has been used in impressive projects such as the Sydney Cricket Ground and the Qantas Founders Museum, to projects closer to home such as the Goodwood Oval redevelopment.

What Will You Do?
There will be variety in this role Travelling with the team to various building projects across the nation, you'll spend time on our customers sites producing specified product, being a key part of the project taking shape

Specifically, you'll be:
- operating all the equipment within the mobile mill portfolio
- performing inspections and completing routine maintenance schedules
- responding to any equipment breakdown - problem solving, and troubleshooting to get the mill up and running without delay
- partnering with our customers to exceed their expectations on quality of product and working within project deadlines
- working on our customers sites, liaising with builders and installers to ensure a seamless install and positive customer experience

More About You


Perhaps you have been in a manufacturing production role or have mechanical/fitter/electrical experience in a production environment - where you'll add value is by being an enthused and hands-on part of the team, pitching in to get the job done with with a focus on safety, quality and customer service.


You will bring:
- a hands on, practical approach to getting things done
- an ability to work under pressure to achieve a target
- a confidence in building rapport in new work environments
- experience in production operations or a mechanical background
- some equipment knowledge e.g. able to use equipment control station
- a willingness to travel and work on remote sites, sometimes at short notice
- able to gain a 'Police Clearance in all Australian states/territories' and 'Working with children clearance in all Australian states/territories'
- able to obtain construction industry 'White Card' and Forklift license
