About The Role

This Injury Management and Wellness Lead, plays a crucial role in shaping the workplace culture towards proactive injury management and overall wellness. In this position you will focuses on the development, implementation, and refinement of strategies and systems that facilitate an integrated the overall approach to workplace health and safety across the organisation.
  • Develop and execute early intervention and wellness programs to enhance organisational capabilities and meet both current and future needs.
  • Manage compassionate and timely injury, illness, and disability services, balancing individual recovery needs with organisational responsibilities.
  • Offer specialised advice and support on injury management and wellness to internal teams across national operations.
  • Design and implement protocols and tools to fulfill injury management obligations.
  • Stay abreast of relevant health and safety legislation and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Perform risk assessments, devise strategic action plans, and conduct regular audits to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies.
  • Facilitate workplace safety inspections and evaluations in collaboration with the WHS team to uphold safety standards.
  • Lead and support the Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator in liaising with internal stakeholders.

About you

As the Injury Management and Wellness Lead, you will bring a robust background in developing and executing comprehensive Workplace Health and Safety and injury management programs. Your track record demonstrates an ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences both in person and virtually, fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture.

Key Qualifications And Skills

  • You will hold a bachelor's degree in Workplace Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Possesses extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Workers' Compensation legislation and management practices across various National jurisdictions.
  • Proven leadership abilities, particularly in managing geographically dispersed teams.
  • Your keen attention to detail and strategic mindset will be crucial in enhancing our processes and addressing the unique challenges of our dynamic environment

Important Requirements

  • Must be eligible to live and work in Australia
  • Possession of an unrestricted driver's license
  • Willingness to undergo necessary state-specific & eligibility checks, attain a QLD Blue-card, QLD Drivers license and LCS2 check.
