About the role

We are currently seeking a Principal Data Scientist to join our growing team. The role holder is an expert in their field with extensive experience of helping organisations gain value from data science solutions. They will be responsible for helping our clients understand how data science can benefit their business and leading teams in implementing these solutions. They will also mentor junior data scientists both internally at Fujitsu and as well as at our clients. They will provide technical advice and assistance to the Data & AI sales staff and existing or prospective customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engaging with clients at all levels to understand their business challenges and identify innovative solutions using data science and AI.
  • Architecting and designing data science and AI solutions
  • Leading teams to implement advanced analytics and data science solutions for customers in an enterprise environment.
  • Helping organisations understand their data and how they can extract value from it.
  • Helping clients establish data science and AI capabilities and best practices at their organisation.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to more junior data scientists at Fujitsu
  • Providing thought leadership in data science both internally and externally
  • Assist with building up the Fujitsu data science practice, capabilities and offerings.
  • Assist with pre-sales scoping, shaping of opportunities as well as developing proposals and presenting to clients.

About you

  • Developing and delivering data science and AI solutions in an enterprise environment
  • Knowledge and experience of MLOps preferably using MLFlow
  • Leading and motivating a data science team
  • Mentoring of junior data scientists
  • Implementing data science solutions in Azure cloud
  • Implementing data science solutions using Databricks
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL and Python. Preferable knowledge of R
  • Influence senior stakeholders in the benefits and opportunities that data science offers
