Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is responsible for the operation of services, which focus on people with a severe mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.


The single most important goal of Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is to create an environment that facilitates clinical recovery, supports individual recovery efforts and strives to minimise service system barriers to the recovery process.


What you'll be doing


The Practice Lead - Family Services is based within the Navigations platform at St Kilda Road Clinic and will support the leadership team and take the lead with coordination of the family services program.

The incumbent will play a pivotal role in increasing the skills and knowledge and confidence of mental health clinicians delivering family inclusive practice and integrating a single session family consultation approach.

The position will work in partnership with discipline seniors, team leaders and consultant psychiatrists, lived experience workforce, FAPMI, family violence team and the Family/Carer Peer workforce to improve the communication with families, support strengths-based approaches and assist with problem solving to co-create improved family functioning through family centred practice.


About you

  • AHPRA or relevant professional registering body
  • Approved tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline and eligibility for a membership of the appropriate professional body
  • Minimum of 10 years post graduate experience
  • Family therapy qualifications
  • Appropriate work visa
  • Current Victorian Driver's License
  • Current Working with Children Check and be willing to undergo a Background Check
