The role
An exceptional opportunity awaits a Practice Administrator interested in joining a top-tier Australian law firm. This opportunity will be considered on a part-time or full-time role basis and is based in our Melbourne office. As an integral part of the team, this role involves providing support to the Partner and a team of legal practitioners, with a specific focus on supporting and managing high-level administrative responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
Provide high-level secretarial and administrative support for a Partner and team of practitioners within our MPC PracticeManage general accounts, monthly billing, client reporting, and expenses with a keen eye for detailFile management and handling, including the opening and closing of mattersUndertake conflict searches on firm data base and prepare conflict emailsPrepare client Work Orders and monitor budgetsWork as part of a cohesive team of Practice Administrators supporting the wider MPC team and be willing to step in and assist other MPC team members during busy periodsSkills & Experience
To excel in this role, we are seeking a candidate with:
Previous experience in an administrative and/or secretarial role, ideally in the legal sectorHighly organised with meticulous attention to detailStrong multitasking and prioritisation skills, especially in high-pressure situationsA flexible and proactive approach with a demonstrable drive to contribute to the business's profound successThe ability to build and nurture positive relationships with colleagues and clientsAdvanced technical skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Proficiency in billing processes, with previous experience using Aderant Expert software desirable-
