About the role

  • Head of Data Product is a new role in the product department's leadership team. This role is pivotal in Tyro's data journey in building data capabilities, and defining the role of data in the future of Tyro. It is about enhancing the value of Tyro to our customers by designing and developing Data Products which complements our existing solutions. It is also about building data products to help drive internal decisions.
  • The role works closely with the Product leadership team, technology teams, and businesses across Tyro including strategy, customer, finance and risk.

What you'll do:

  • Lead/Support a team of Data Product Managers and Data Scientists to develop data products for internal and external consumption.
  • Design and develop a range of data products that drive a data product culture, enable business users to selfserve, drive governance by design and have a metric driven data product strategy.
  • Lead the uplift in data culture and data governance across Tyro in collaboration with Finance.
  • Partner with Product Leads to identify and embed the data products in our solution suite.
  • Coach and support the Tyro analyst community to create data awareness and capability.
  • Drive the development of predictive modelling, data analytics, data insights to support the growth of the Tyro products
  • Influence product strategies to include data as a value add
  • Responsible for the identification and management of risk in day to day responsibilities.
  • Comply with Tyro policies and procedures.
  • Role model positive behaviours and contribute towards building the Tyro culture.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a data related discipline
  • Experienced on data analysis
  • Experienced on transformational projects
  • Solid Product Management background with previous experience delivering complex products and services
  • Works effectively in a fastpaced crossfunctional environment
  • Has experience in building, managing and leading great teams
  • Strategic thought process with sharp ability to decision quickly
