About the role:


The Student Engagement Officer supports the Student Engagement Administrator and AMEP Site Manager to recruit and retain students using a variety of communication channels such as face-to-face meetings, telephone calls, SMS and social media.

The role supports students from non-English speaking backgrounds with their goals, as documented in their Individual Pathway Plan.

The Student Engagement Officer ensures that students are given relevant and reliable information pertaining to future vocational, educational and settlement goals.

This position requires a broad range of skills in career and education counselling, as well as coordination with the AMEP customer service team, classroom teachers, Skills and Jobs Centre and other teaching centres throughout the institute.

The Student Engagement Officer is a member of the Box Hill Institute Adult Migrant English Program team.

The Student Engagement Officer is the first point of contact for new and existing AMEP clients and provides an interface between students, teachers, AMEP management, internal and external stakeholders.

This position is responsible for working professionally with clients and with employees at all levels across the BHI and professionally representing the Division to external stakeholders.


Your Skills and Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • A relevant qualification in Business or Office Administration or equivalent at Certificate IV or above.
  • Experience in AMEP, SEE or any other English Language Tuition program is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in a language other than English is highly desirable
