About You


As the Project and Engagement Officer, you will play a key role in delivering a project to enhance student voice at RMIT.

Working closely with the Student Life Team to champion best practice in engaging student voice, while building student voice capacity and operationalising a framework to enhance our Student Voice approach.

You will have strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage and deliver a range of tasks. You will be comfortable engaging with and presenting information to a varied stakeholder group. You will also be passionate about improving the student experience.

The role is offered on a part-time fixed-term basis and will work under close supervision from the Senior Adviser Student Partnerships.

To be successful in this position, you will meet the following Key Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering project outcomes related to student consultation.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders from students to internal partners.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to take the initiative in identifying and pursuing opportunities to improve existing practices and services.
  • Demonstrated experience of adapting to new technologies or systems and advanced skills in using collaborative work tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (in particular SharePoint and PowerPoint).
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a flexible team member committed to achieving own and work Must have or be willing to complete an Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills are required.
  • Experience producing web or social media content would be beneficial
