Mechanical Fitter - Day Shift
TRS Resourcing is looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team in Thomastown to support a packaging client. They are known for their expertise in electrical, automation, and mechanical services, and are now in need of a qualified Mechanical Fitter, preferably with a forklift license, to expand their workforce.
This role offers a Contract Hourly Rate of $55.00 per hour (day shift) plus a $27 Per Day Travel Allowance.
This is a six-month temporary to permanent position with opportunities for long-term employment. Immediate start is available. The ideal candidate should have experience in maintaining high-speed packaging machines, as well as the ability to troubleshoot PLC-operated machines, timing devices, and conveyors.
In order to succeed in this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following:
- Perform servicing, repairs, and maintenance on various equipment, such as automated machinery and conveyors.
- Interpret workshop/engineering drawings accurately
- Effectively prioritize work tasks
- Work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
- Basic forklift operation skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
To be eligible for this position, you must be able to provide the following:
- Two references from previous employers
- Located in Melbourne, Victoria
- Valid Australian work authorization
- Trade certification (Mandatory)
- Forklift License (Preferred)
- Personal Hand Tools (Specialist tools provided)
