Job Description

Your Role:
As Program Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of one of the largest immediate supported accommodation facilities in Queensland.The program supports those who are homeless, through both centre-based and mobile outreach with a key focus on long-term sustainable housing outcomes. The Hostel is a 24/7 service, consisting of84 rooms. The clients are predominantly single men & women however we can support couples. Your team will consist of two (2) Team Leaders & fourteen (14) Client Outcome Facilitators. The Team Leaders will provide hands on supports for the Client Outcome Facilitators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate service delivery to meet our high standards and achieve program outcomes.
  • Hold accountability for program outcomes, ensuring effective support for our clients.
  • Manage and mentor employees within your line management chain, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the Dept of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy, NGOs, and other service providers to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Oversee the program budget and reporting requirements.
  • Navigate and adhere to relevant funding guidelines, agreements, legislative requirements, and organisational policies and procedures.

  • Expertise in coordinating homelessness services with sound knowledge of trauma-informed frameworks.
  • Excellent understanding of funding guidelines, legislative requirements, and policy adherence.

This is a fixed-term (until 30/06/2026) full-time (38 hours per week) role based inSpring Hill.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification in Community Services or related fields
  • Demonstrated program coordination and leadership skills, including human resources and financial management, quality assurance, risk management and reporting
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practice, including the ability to work within relevant funding guidelines and legislative requirements relating to the delivery of program outcomes, safety and risk
  • Previous experience as a manager or of an equivalent senior position with accountability for operational outcomes and direct reports within the Social Services sector
  • Ability to lead and manage others including well-developed interpersonal, communication and organisation skills
  • The successful candidate will be required to present a COVID-19 vaccination certificate prior to engagement
  • Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
