***The main role of Cyber Security Compliance (CSC) team is to aid protection of the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Departments data.

The Team will perform following functions:

  • Send critical security vulnerability alerts to key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate, influence, monitor and assist system owners to implement patches and provide remediation plans when required.
  • Hosting and management of Cyber Security Compliance Forums to enable communication with key Defence stakeholders about the current state of the Departments ICT security posture and identify activities to minimise vulnerabilities to systems and assist with providing higher compliance levels in line with the Essential 8 and Cyber Hygiene Improvement Programs (CHIPs)

Mandatory Skills:

  • Sound working knowledge of running a dashboard report and other forms of builtin reporting based on vulnerability scanning and business analytic tools.
  • Sound working knowledge of Australian Government ICT security requirements and policies.
  • Deep interest in the technical aspects of ICT capability solutions and a desire/aptitude to learn new concepts and skills;
  • Sound communication and presentation skills especially the ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical users;
  • Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly developed research, written and oral communication skills.
  • Welldeveloped organisational and time management skills including the ability manage multiple stakeholders and demands and the ability to work independently with broad direction and mínimal supervision.

Desirable skills:

  • 45 years in a role involving the implementation and coordination of ICT/Cyber Security initiatives; or
  • Tertiary qualifications in an ICT or ICT security related discipline;
  • Experience using Tenable vulnerability scanning tool.
