The opportunity:


As a Cyber Security Technical Specialist, you will get exposure to, and be involved technically across varying facets of Cyber Security related activities.

The core skills of the role will stem from strong foundational SOC analyst and Incident Response exposure.

This role will involve working collaboratively on technical tasks the include, but not limited to:

  • Cyber Threat Hunting-
  • Purple team activities-
  • Application of threat intelligence and Vulnerability Threat Analysis reporting
  • SOC technical escalations
  • Detection development and tuning
  • Basic programming and automation
  • Training and mentoring of SOC analysts
  • Best practice configuration/compliance auditing advice
  • Technical support to Customer Engagement activities.
  • Documenting relevant processes

To hit the ground running we are looking for individuals who can confidently demonstrate the following:

  • Hold a minimum of NV1 AGSVA security clearance
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an ICT Security Role, with a focus on networks or endpoints
  • Proficient with windows and linux logging types and ability to navigate the linux file system/windows registry
  • Understanding of network security architectures, topologies, security services and protocols (e.g. OSI model, Common ports and protocols, HTTP, DNS, SMB/NETBIOS, Kerberos/authentication types, remote administration protocols etc.)
  • Understanding of the Mitre Att&ck framework/ cyber kill chain
  • Have an active interest or hobby in Cyber Security
  • Demonstrate ability and willingness to learn new skills
  • Be able to work collaboratively with others
  • Be able to convey technical information and guide others technically
  • Strong communication skills, demonstrate empathy, emotional intelligence, and work with the team
