Cleared are currently supporting agencies within the national intelligence space, who are looking to engage TSPV resources for long term contract positions in Canberra.

The Project:

Project HOTCHILLIE is an initiative which is part of the greater Project RED SPICE program of work. The successful applicant will be located within Technology Services Branch of the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD).

This role will be responsible for developing the ICT security documentation for the accreditation for the organisation as well as Defence and the National Intelligence Community (NIC).


To facilitate this, ASD has a requirement for an experienced ICT Security Advisor who will be required to work closely with the HOTCHILLIE Project manager as well as ASD ICT Accreditation and communications infrastructure capability stakeholders.


Skills and Knowledge:

  • Outline your experience in ICT Projects in an ICT Security Advisor capacity.
  • Outline your experience performing Cyber Security risk assessments in an Australian Government context by referring to the latest Information Security Manual, Protective Security Policy Framework and ACSC Essential 8 Maturity levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and communicate ICT Security Policy, Standards and operational guidelines for the new HOTCHILLIE Capability.
  • Work closely with the Enterprise Security Architect, to ensure that the HOTCHILLIE capability has architectural security principles applied during design to reduce risk in the operational capability.
  • Develop strategies that implement information control requirements for the HOTCHILLIE Capability, that proactively assess and address the impact the controls may have on the capability's business strategies, benefits and risks to operation of the capability.
  • Develop advice and guidance on the requirements for ICT Security controls for the HOTCHILLIE Capability, in collaboration with ASD security accreditation authorities and ICT Security Subject Matter Experts.
  • Produce security documentation for the accreditation and operational procedures for the HOTCHILLIE Capability.
  • Work collaboratively and constructively as part of an Agile delivery team to ensure timely delivery of the project ICT security architecture for the secure communications service offering
Due to the nature of the work, you will need to hold a current or inactive TSPV Clearance. This is non-negotiable. Canberra based, with limited travel required within Australia.
