Working closely with the Compass Group Site Management Team to provide specialist advice, direct support and resources on health and safety issues, the Safety Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the implementation of the Compass Group health, safety, environment and quality management systems at a site level.

The Position

  • FIFO from Brisbane or Adelaide
  • Typically, 14/7 roster working 12 hour days
  • Providing specialist HSEQ advice, support to our operational teams
  • Conduct risk assessments & development of procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal, company and Client requirements
  • Driving regular and sustainable improvement in our safety performance
  • Conducting regular safety interactions with all levels within the teams
  • Supporting Return to Work Processes and Incident Investigations
The Person

  • Minimum Certificate IV in WHS
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Health and Safety, Environmental, Health or similar
  • Manual Driver's licence (Essential)
  • Strong communication skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience in risk assessments
  • Demonstrated use of initiative
  • Previous sitebased HSEQ experience highly regarded
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholder relationships, effectively bringing people along the site safety journey
  • Welldeveloped skills in communication with the ability to coach and influence key stakeholders
