Reporting to the Aftermarket Manager, the
Powertrain Product Specialist drives specialised product growth initiatives to increase profitable parts, service revenue, and market share.

This role supports proactive product development and delivery of aftermarket solutions to Sales and customer-facing teams to assist with delivery of lower cost of ownership, drive customer satisfaction and enhance customer experience.


The specialist works with Caterpillar Aftermarket teams, Product Managers, and Sales teams to develop tailored solutions, such as Certified Rebuilds, Powertrain CVA's, demand planning, forecasting, and expanded component insurance programs, to enhance services growth and customer satisfaction.

Roster:
Monday - Friday, 8.5 hour days

To be successful the following is required:

  • Relevant Tertiary qualification in a related field or substantial industry experience
  • Proven experience with OEM products or in an industryrelated role, including project delivery, account management, or technical sales
  • Broad business background, specialised product or industry knowledge, and strong communication skills
  • Ability to establish solid relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Previous 6 Sigma Black Belt or project management experience is desirable
  • Extensive product knowledge in mining and construction, with technical understanding of relevant Caterpillar products
  • Demonstrated expertise in relationship management
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and identification of improvement opportunities
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with customers at different organisational levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and understanding of safety practices in mining and construction environments
