Formula for Success
In this important role as a Customs & Foreign Trade Specialist, you'll support the BASF Global Business Services unit in achieving its strategic objectives through managing daily Customs compliance activity and be accountable for ANZ Import/Export Operations.
This is a perfect role for someone qualified in Supply Chain, Logistics or International Trade and has 3-5 years' experience in foreign trade/export management.
You'll work closely with other functions and manage the relationships with internal and external stakeholders.You'll:
- Manage day to day compliance activity of brokers
- Address inquiries from Customs agencies
- Act as a local point of escalation for business units regarding matters related to import/export processes.
- Support the Management Hub team in the eligibility of products and classification verification activities.
- Draft responses and prepare analysis and material for review
- Prepare performance reports
- Provide foreign trade advice to business units and other stakeholders
- Manage BASF'S Australian Trusted Trader accreditation
- Support risk assessment and management
- Support project initiatives related to customs and foreign trade areas.
Ingredients for Success
To be successful in this role, you'll have a strong willingness to learn, great work ethic and open-mindedness.
You'll be a natural communicator, able to engage and influence stakeholders of various levels and be highly diligent with excellent attention to details.
You'll:
- Hold a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or similar
- Have experience in foreign trade/import/export management
- Management of customs brokers ideal
- SAP exposure and Intermedial Excel Skills a plus
