The Project - Sydney Metro City South West (SMCSW)


The SMCSW is a new 30-kilometre metro line extending the tracks from the southern end of Sydney Metro North West at Chatswood, under Sydney Harbour through new CBD Stations and upgraded stations along the South West corridor to Bankstown.


MTR was awarded the Operations, Trains & Systems package in Dec 2019 and commenced delivery of key rail systems & trains.

About the role


The role of a Strategy & Systems Manager will see you lead a team of 3 and produce health, safety environment and quality documents.


Description:

Responsibilities:

Manage Project Safety:

develop, implement, and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS) Environmental Management System (EMS) and Quality Management System (QMS) including the Management Plans, relevant procedures, and tools, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements of Sydney Metro PC standards and accreditation requirements.

Develop and implement the safety control system

Manage relationships with stakeholders to ensure that the SMS / QMS and EMS documents are reviewed, input received and updated consistent with document and record requirements.

Continuous improvement system implementation.
Providing document development training as required, including contractors.

Skills and Experiences:

Skills, Experience and Education

Graduate Certificate in WHS / Rail Safety or equivalent
Training and Assessor Qualified
Lead Auditor and Lead ICAM investigator qualifications
5 years' experience on infrastructure projects
3 to 5 years' experience in document development of HSEQ systems
Organised and able to meet deadlines.
The ability to work quickly, effectively, and positively in a demanding environment.
Well-developed organisational skills and able to pay attention to detail.
The ability to work to deadlines and targets and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
