The Role


Due to growth within the team at Epworth Freemasons, we are seeking to appoint both full time and part time Patient Services Officers.

You will be responsible for multiple aspects of the pre-admission and admission process for our elective and emergency patients and report into the Patient Service Centre Manger.


Avaianle positions are:
Full time -Monday - Friday - 9:00 - 5:00 - Surgical Bookings - this role may also work one weekend a month and rotate to a 6:30pm shift at times

Fixed term Full Time (with opportunity to permanent) - Monday - Friday - 8:00 - 4:00 - Surgical Bookings - this role may also work one weekend a month and rotate to a 6:30pm shift at times

Part Time - Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri - 06:00 -2:00PM - Theatre Admissions

Part Time - Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed - 2:00 - 9:00

You will make an impact by:
Processing of elective bookings for surgical and medical patients

Admitting and discharging of patients

Responding promptly to enquiries and requests

General administrative duties and entering patient's details to create admissions.

To be successful in this role

You will have:

Strong computer literacy

Excellent attention to detail

Strong customer service focus

Ability to prioritise in a timely and accurate manner

Ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions according to hospital needs

Excellent communication skills

Previous experience in health care, medical or health fund industry will be highly advantageous
