Our client is a property developer conveniently located in Southbank, currently looking for an Acquisition Manager to join their driven and successful team working across residential projects.

About the role:

  • Identify, source, and secure suitable real estate acquisitions and/or divestment opportunities in Victoria that deliver financially.
  • Prepare feasibility analysis on acquisitions/divestments for submission to the Investment Committee (ICOM)of the Board.
  • Cooriginate acquisitions due diligence, negotiation of terms and completion of transactions.
  • Prepare board reports for approval at the direction of the GM Capital Transactions.
  • Build network of external contacts to gather market intelligence and capitalise opportunities in relation to both on and off market acquisitions.
  • Managing valuation process for acquired sites.
  • Carry out research and leverage inhouse research capability to deliver relevant and accurate competitor/market/financial data analysis to support business acquisition decisions.
  • Work closely with the Development team on new acquisitions during due diligence through to handover.
  • Work closely with the National Capital Transactions team on strategic acquisitions across the full acquisitions process.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce/Business/Economics/Valuations or other propertyrelated discipline.
  • Proven track record of success in sourcing/acquiring residential property.
  • Solid knowledge of Victorian land market and regulatory framework governing land acquisition.
  • Estate Master (DF) or other modelling skills.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Superior commercial acumen.
  • Strong strategic capability.
  • Ability to think laterally and problem solve
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence across a range of stakeholders.
