Land Acquisition and Development Manager

Hickinbotham Group, a leading diversified company in South Australia, is seeking a highly skilled Land Acquisition and Development Manager to join its high-performing team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for the active growth and management of the company's development land portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Manage Strategic Land Acquisition Program: Collaborate with the Managing Director and the land team to develop and implement a comprehensive land acquisition strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives.
- Identify and Acquire Strategic Greenfield Sites: Utilize your expertise to identify and acquire strategic greenfield sites that meet the company's development needs.
- Build and Maintain Relationships with Landowners and Government Authorities: Develop and maintain strong relationships with landowners and government authorities to ensure seamless land acquisition and development processes.
- Prepare Feasibility Studies and Business Cases: Conduct thorough feasibility studies and prepare business cases to evaluate the profitability of potential acquisitions and present recommendations to stakeholders.
- Liaise with Government Authorities and Consultants: Collaborate with government authorities, consultants, and contractors to drive progress and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Structure and Negotiate Land Purchase Contracts: Negotiate and structure land purchase contracts with landowners or their representatives, including terms and conditions, purchase price, and contingencies.
- Conduct Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential acquisitions, including title searches and zoning and planning reviews.
- Experience in Land Development and Construction Industry: Proven experience in the land development and construction industry, with a strong understanding of the business.
