Melbourne has an ever changing funds management market and my client is a leader in developing new initiatives.
The front office trade support team is an elite division within the operations group. They provide detailed support to fund managers and perform a critical oversight function of counterparties and custodians. Working in conjunction with teams like, performance, risk, and middle office operations, you will be responsible for the following:-

  • Providing detailed support to the fund manager group to ensure 100% accuracy of all trades executed.
  • Work independently to resolve discrepancies with counterparties and custodians
  • Reconcile all cash and collateral exposures on a daily basis with internal and external providers
  • Assist with the creation of workflow documentation for processes and policies.
  • Work towards being involved with global transformation projects by directly liaising with the PMO to provide information for requirement gathering initiatives.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a broad product knowledge and exposure to globally traded investment vehicles. You will be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the trade lifecycle and the ability to deal with a variety of counterparties. Systems knowledge across TLM, IRESS, or other trading platforms is essential. Candidates who can demonstrate previous experience in a similar role outside of Australia in key financial centres like London or New York will be held in high regard.
