Remuneration and Rewards Consultant

Active Directions is a proudly independent, privately-held boutique consultancy. Our aim is to provide businesses with access to high-quality, accountable consulting services delivered with high impact.

We've helped bring that vision to life for many organisations - from start-up and emerging businesses, to privately-owned businesses, and corporates.


In response to an uplift in clients seeking assistance in this specific area, we are now looking for an Independent Remuneration and Rewards Specialist/Consultant to work on various projects.


Key areas of expertise:

  • Benchmarking remuneration packages across levels, entities and interstate and international locations
  • Review or development of Incentive structures/employee share programs
  • Definition of pay scales across the businesses
  • Employee recognition programs
  • Bargaining Enterprise Agreements
  • Remuneration philosophy, policy and guidelines
  • Upskilling HR staff on remuneration related topics
  • Job and competency design
  • Productivity modelling and surveys
  • Salary packaging negotiations

What we are looking for:

  • Degree level qualification in Human Resources and/or Finance
  • Sound financial practice knowledge
  • Previous corporate experience within a senior HR role
  • Industry knowledge and be able to advise current and new standards
  • Understanding of indirect rewards such as health, lifestyle and super schemes
  • Knowledge of legislation particularly within retirement, taxation, discrimination laws in various jurisdictions (interstate and international)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a range of stakeholders including csuite
  • Excellent negotiation skills
