Our Opportunity
We are excited to offer a key role within our Enterprise Business Systems team as a Senior Manager, IT SAP Payroll – Australia & PNG. This customer-facing leadership position involves working closely with multiple departments, focusing on driving innovation and transforming payroll systems and technologies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the payroll support team to enhance operational support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the payroll ecosystem.
  • Support the payroll strategy and migration of services to a Cloud SaaS model.
  • Develop a payroll roadmap for standardizing solutions across the organization.
  • Implement tools and processes to ensure quality support and timely escalation when needed.
  • Coordinate the implementation of payroll solutions and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to address requirements and initiatives.
  • Lead the team to achieve support goals and stay informed about industry best practices.

This role offers flexibility in location across major Australian cities and may require collaboration across various time zones.

About You
We are looking for a senior IT leader with a minimum of 10 years' experience in SAP Payroll. Technical expertise, knowledge of SAP Payroll functionality, and prior payroll implementation experience are essential. Certification as an SAP Payroll practitioner along with relevant qualifications will be advantageous. Desired skills and abilities include:

  • Business and technical acumen to communicate complex concepts effectively.
  • Experience in leading remote teams and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and resolve ambiguities efficiently.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and structured decision-making abilities.
